Dear Family and friends,

Around August 25th, (dates can vary on weather conditions) I will attempt to swim across the English Channel from Dover (U.K) to the French coast.

The English Channel, a.k.a the "Everest of swimming" takes anywhere from 12-25h (distance is minimum 40km), in a chilled 17 degrees dark blue water.

I am doing this for my own sense of achievement (and for a hard #Brexit), but also I decided to raise awareness for a cause that is dear to me.

As you know, I'm involved in the jewelry business, with a focus on gold and until recently I was unaware of the dark origins of the raw material. Gold is a symbol of love, power and wealth the world-over. But look behind the glitz and the reality is not so glamorous.

From the swim onwards, we will only use clean and ethical gold in our collections @Bulliony.

For this reason I have chosen to support the fairtrade organisation and in particular their efforts for gold production.
