For over 20 years staff here at Nightingale House Hospice have created an environment that gives patients and their loved ones quality time to spend together. Not having to worry about the care a loved one receives, knowing they are in safe hands means every second spent together is dignified and peaceful. Without support such as yours, our specialist palliative care units wouldn’t be able to deliver such high standards. I have the chance to fight for my life surrounded by great friends and family. There have been times I have looked at my young grandson and wept, he doesn't understand why I'm exhausted. My heart breaks for others who have to get out of that chair and carry on. I can't imagine what this is like to have to cope with whilst having a young family, an unsupportive or difficult relationship or worrying about how the bills are paid. I have to turn this negative into something positive to help.
