Jeff Maltby is raising money for Disasters Emergency Committee

Jeff's Jump for Ukraine · 18 April 2022

More than 10 million people have fled their homes to escape conflict in Ukraine. Leaving behind jobs, belongings and loved ones, they need shelter, food and water. Donate now.

Story

It's something I never thought of ever doing - but when my daughter Laura (jokingly) asked me to join her in a skydive to celebrate her 40th birthday I didn't like to say no and instantly thought that any sponsorship raised could go to the most worthwhile cause.

Intense conflict in Ukraine is threatening the lives and livelihoods of civilians across the country, causing hundreds of thousands to flee. Homes have been destroyed or are unsafe to live in. Essential services have been hit. Families have been separated. People have been injured. Lives have been lost. The people of Ukraine are enduring suffering like never before seen in our lifetime.

DEC charities and their local partners are in Ukraine and across the border in the neighbouring countries. They are working to meet the immediate needs of all people fleeing with food, water, medical assistance, protection and trauma care. £30 could provide essential hygiene supplies for three people for one month £50 could provide blankets for 4 families to keep them warm £100 could provide emergency food for two families for one month.

We are aiming to jump from 15000 feet on 18.04.2022 (weather depending). Any amount raised would be most welcome.
