In my early 20's I knew that I wanted to adopt a child someday. I also knew that I wanted to complete a marathon someday.

We adopted our first child 12 years ago and our second child 4 years later, but I'm just now getting around to attempting to complete a marathon.

I want to use this opportunity to help raise money for St Andrew's Children's Society (SACS) who have been instrumental in forming our family and continue to support us through the trials and tribulations our family has faced in the past 12 years.

Many of the children who are adopted and fostered have experienced trauma, abuse and neglect. This can lead to them and their adopters/foster carers needing extensive, specialist support throughout their childhood and beyond. SACS offer families lifelong support whenever and as often as needed.

By supporting this fundraising page, you will be helping SACS in continuing their important and appreciated work in helping children and families come together and providing lifelong support to adoptive and foster families.
