Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Last year I 'accidentally' ran the Snowdonia Marathon with throat cancer. So to celebrate still being alive, on Saturday October 28th 2017, myself and a small group of gullible optimists, Terri Mason, Gabby Deere, Paula McMahon, Anna Woodward, Steve Borondy and Joe McMahon will be attempting to complete the toughest marathon in Europe TWICE.

We will line up on the ‘finishing line’ in Llanberris at 2am and walk/jog the course in reverse through the night. Assuming no one dies or is arrested we hope to arrive at the ‘start line’ around 9am. This should give us an hour to sort our lives out, get our race numbers before bracing ourselves to start the race proper at 10am and limp back round the route the ‘right’ way. Unsurprisingly this has not been attempted before and could go very very wrong. However emboldened by extreme over confidence and a sturdy knee brace I expect to be in the pub with a bottle of Merlot by 7pm.

We are doing this to raise money for Tenovus Cancer Care. For obvious reasons this is a cause very close to my heart.
We will gladly accept any donations however small, though anything under a tenner is a bit embarrassing for all concerned. Cash will also be gratefully received. Thank You, Jeff
