Story
As a cancer survivor, this cause is close to my heart. All ten of us are collecting for Children’s cancer care unit at the Luton & Dunstable hospital. I have worked in Luton for over 55 years and it feels great to support the local hospital who work tirelessly for the community.
To celebrate my 70th birthday I bought myself a bike to keep fit. A few months later, I had one of those mad ideas, why not challenge myself and ride from London to Brighton and raise money for a cancer charity. I managed to persuade Robert and 8 clients to share the journey with me.
I finished my own cancer treatment in January 2018. Having received wonderful care whilst in hospital, it’s time to give back. (Including blood, sweat and tears!)
