Care Workers are at the frontline of the coronavirus crisis, caring for societys most vulnerable and most susceptible to the disease. If a care worker needs to self-isolate, they will fall into desperate need. Any help will go a long way.

Story

I'm Jeffrey Long and I have been taking part in charitable fundraising for many years. The Coronavirus pandemic has shone a light on the marvelous work that care workers are doing and I really wanted to show my support for them.

I will be walking for 10 days or possibly longer to care homes in my local area to show my support for the brilliant care workers.

From Thursday 4th June I will be walking to care homes each day. Whilst walking I will raise awareness of The Care Workers' Charity and raise some money so that care staff can be supported.

Care workers are hugely undervalued and deserve more recognition for their heroic work. Every day, care workers make a huge difference to the lives of thousands of people across the country, providing them with the dignity and support they need to live happy and contented lives.
