Story
I am going to Bali this summer to help teach children how to swim. Swimdo is a non-profit organization that aims to reduce the rate of childhood drowning in high-risk communities in Indonesia, the worlds 4th most populous country. They are a group of young-ocean-loving-people that want to bring our love of the ocean to the children of Indonesia in a safe and responsible manner. They aim to make children safe around water. There program addresses and protects against many causes of childhood drowning. Their mission is to protect and enrich the lives of children through aquatic education.Your support means that we can continue this incredible work, and teach children the life skills in swimming lessons for free. SwimTayka believes that no child should be denied access to water safety based on their economic status. Being rewarded with the smiles and laughs of the young children as they learn to live safely alongside the water, paired with the knowledge that our work will save lives, is all the motivation we need to continue our work.
I am self-funding my trip, but any extra donations would be greatly appreciated.
