Story

Our beautiful Louise sadly left us on the 1st January 2022, leaving a massive hole in the lives of all her family, friends and all that knew and loved her. Aside from her wonderful family and friends, Lou has left behind two beautiful children, Spencer and Lyla. Lou's family's choice of charity in her memory is Winston's Wish, therefore in honour of this and in memory of Louise some of her family and friends have decided to embark on a challenge to complete the Yorkshire Three Peak challenge within a 12 hour period with all money raised from completing the challenge going towards Winston's Wish charity. The challenge is to conquer the most popular three peaks in Yorkshire within a 12 hour period and the route is up and down approximately 2153 metres and across 26(ish) miles. The aim of this challenge is for us all as a team to raise as much money as possible in Lou's memory for this wonderful cause. Lou was the most beautiful person inside and out, a loving daughter, sister , friend and colleague to her police family, and everyone that met her just loved her. However, first and foremost she was the most amazing mother to Spencer and Lyla .. she's left a massive hole in our all of our lives and I think I speak for us all when I say that any donation no matter how small is so massively appreciated. To give you an idea of how the money raised will be put to use by Winston's Wish, please see below :- £5 Could provide four specialist publications, which offer parents and professionals advice and guidance on how to help bereaved children cope with their grief. £8.50 Could enable us to provide one child with a memory box that can be used to store treasured objects, helping them to remember their loved one in a way that is personal to them. £20 Could cover the cost of operating our website for one day, including Help2MakeSense, a support forum for bereaved young people. Thankyou in advance for any donations received, we will keep you all updated along the way :-)
