Shepreth Wildlife Conservation Charity (SWCC) was established in March 2011 to help fundraise for important wildlife conservation work both at home and abroad.

Story

Jen and myself decided that 2022 needed a challenge!

Jen is an avid runner, enjoying the fresh air and mindfulness that comes with a good jog.
I am 100% not an avid runner, but can never say no to a daft idea.

Together we are running the Cambridge Half marathon.
Jen has to run in a carrot costume, due to the very sensible idea of asking a 7 year old what to wear - and to give myself a fighting chance to keep up! I will don rabbit ears and see if I can catch that carrot!

Give us a shout on the day, we need the support and please do consider donating to our charity of choice!

Details about our chosen charity are below:

'Shepreth Wildlife Conservation Charity (SWCC) was established in March 2011 to help fundraise for important wildlife conservation work both at home and abroad. The organisation raises funds and educates visitors about species which are threatened with extinction, while also playing a major role in providing funds for the on-site Hedgehog Hospital. SWCC has close links with Shepreth Wildlife Park and makes use of the Park in the charity's fundraising activities. Find out more about SWCC at www.swccharity.org.ukThe hospital is now reaching £4,000 per month to keep open, and it remains a constant battle to raise sufficient funds to keep the doors open. We need your help Thank you for reading this page and supporting our work.'
