Marie Curie is here for anyone with an illness they’re likely to die from, and those close to them. Whatever the illness, wherever you are, we’re with you to the end. We bring 75 years of experience and leading research to the care we give you at home, in our hospices and over the phone.

Story

I am doing a sponsored 10k walk at Hill of Tarvit this summer to raise money to help Marie Curie Nurses continue providing care for terminally ill patients in the Fife area.

My Grandad sadly passed away at home on 9th July last year. The Marie Curie Nurse who attended his home to care for him was wonderful. She provided both practical and emotional support to my Mum in the last few hours, and also attended the funeral to pay her respects.

I am walking ten in my Grandad's memory, and also to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care. Marie Curie Nurses provide care to terminally ill patients in their own homes or in Marie Curie hospices, while offering support to their families.

I am sure all of you will know someone who is fighting cancer, has fought cancer, or who lost their fight – so please, dig deep for this amazing cause

The man is success who has lived life well, laughed often, and loved much;  who has gained the respect of intelligent men and the love of children; who filled his niche and accomplished his task; who leaves the world better than he found it, who never lacked appreciation of earth’s beauty, or failed to express it; who looked for the best in others and gave the best he had; his memory is a benediction.
