London Landmarks Half Marathon 2021 · 1 August 2021 ·

The London Landmarks half is not your average half marathon. From cultural landmarks and heritage to the city's quirky and hidden secrets, runners will get to explore the capital on a route like no other!

Story

Rach and I were due to be running the Landmarks Half Marathon on the 29th of March to raise money for the Royal Free Charity, before COVID-19 forced the event to be cancelled.

Charities like the Royal Free rely so heavily on fundraising events to stay operational and continue the work that they do. So we have decided to run in isolation and try to hit our target regardless. Rach will be running solo on the 29th (setting me a target no doubt ) and I will be following it up a couple of weeks later

The Royal Free Charity uses funds to provide medical equipment, Research for earlier diagnosis and advanced treatments and patient support services such as Massage Therapy for cancer patients, Dementia Companions to help relieve anxiety and provide stimulation and Support Hub for those with long-term medical conditions.

As a surveyor helping to construct the Pears Building, a new research facility for immunity and transplantation, I’ve worked closely with the team at the RFC and know the outstanding contribution that the charity makes to making today feel better for those when they need it most.

Thanks for your support!
