Event: HOPEWALK 2021, from 1 October 2021 to 31 October 2021
HOPEWalk is an annual appeal to raise awareness and fundraise in your local community to help save young lives.

Story

I took part in my first Hopewalk last year and it was very important to me as I have dealt with suicidal thoughts and an attempted suicide myself as well as having people in my life affected by suicide.

Whilst mental health is a bigger part of the conversation now there is still a stigma and many young people are not getting the support that they need.

PAPYRUS is the national Charity for the Prevention of Young Suicide. Suicide is the biggest killer of young people under the age of 35 in the UK, in 2018 over 1800 young people took their own lives.

PAPYRUS provides confidential support and advice to young people struggling with thoughts of suicide, and anyone worried about a young person through their helpline, HOPELINEUK.

Every £5 raised can help pay for a life-saving contact to HOPELINEUK. Your donations really are lifesaving, thank you.
