I will be plunging in the sea in a Cold Water Dip Challenge for Refuge this International Women's Day. On any given day, Refuge supports thousands of women and their children. I have personally seen their incredible work in action, as a volunteer over 40 years ago, and sadly it is still needed as much as ever today. One of my dearest friends is a survivor and it doesn’t bear thinking about or imagining what her (and her son’s) life would have been without the help of Refuge. With fiercely compassionate and highly trained staff, Refuges literally save lives and restore hope, self esteem and empowerment where there was only terror and despair. Just £10 could provide a woman arriving at a Refuge with the support she needs for her first night. Every single £1 makes a difference. Thank you!
