We are doing a Skydive to raise money for the cancer charity, Myeloma UK. As some of you know Dad was diagnosed with  Multiple Myeloma in June last year after being admitted to hospital with a fractured spine . 

For a disease that we and our family had never heard of prior to diagnosis it has completely changed all of our lives, particularly Mum and Dads.

Dad had a Vertebroplasty then over the next few months underwent various treatments including chemotherapy, radiotherapy and a Stem Cell Transplant in January at Christies Hospital in Manchester. He has just passed the milestone of post SCT day 100 and is seeing more of an improvement as the days go by. Throughout he has been an absolute warrior!

We have decided to Skydive in aid of Myeloma UK as we feel strongly about raising awareness about this complex, relatively unknown disease, promoting early diagnosis through accurate and up to date patient information. We aim to raise as much money as we possibly can so that research, standards of treatment, optimal care and support / information for patients and carers can continue to improve for this currently incurable disease. Ultimately we want to see the end of Myeloma! 

So... we will be thrown out of a plane at 10,000 ft (screaming our heads off) on September 1st and HOPEFULLY will be landing intact in Brackley, Northants.
