BTRC works with a Neurosciences team at Charing Cross and Hammersmith Hospitals (Imperial College London) to promote research into the causes of brain tumours and possible new treatments, to raise public awareness of the desperate need for this research and the current lack of funding.

Story

Dear all, thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Having done the 1 mile Loch Lomond swim for the first time last year ( 50 minutes - so not too shameful) I realised that there is no excuse for me not to do it every year!

Last year the total that all you lovely people donated was £1745.00 and that was before the gift aid was added! Thank you for that - I appreciate it so much and I know that BTRC do too.

As I'm sure most of you will know Kevin was a huge fan of any sport that was water related. He was at his happiest either swimming, surfing or diving  (and drinking real ale!) so I think this is the most appropriate way for me to fund raise.

Brain tumour research receives less than 1% (0.7%) of cancer research spending in the UK.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thank you so much for all that you have already donated and please know that any amount is greatly appreciated.

Jeni xx

ps - I can promise you there will definitely, absolutely, certainly not be any wetsuit photo's!!
