What is causing the food crisis?

Drought, rocketing food prices and the devastation of a massive locust infestation. The lasting effects of Covid-19, plus the inflation caused by the invasion of Ukraine, mean basic necessities are becoming unaffordable. And the extreme weather, caused by the climate crisis, has made food extremely challenging to grow and water hard to come by.
