We are holding a purple picnic to raise money for nelsons journey in memory of Riley, come along for cakes and games In order to help this amazing charity, giving back a little for all the help they gave us at such a heartbreaking time. 

Many of you know Riley Lewis sadly passed away on 4th may 2013.. on his 2nd birthday. We have done various things In his memory and this time we want to give something back to those that have helped us after losing him. We had the agonising wait until 11th June to lay him to rest. Which is why the date for our purple picnic is so significant.

When Riley died it left us all in complete and utter shock and still now we question why.. he had a congenital heart defect but never did we think it would take his life, and at such a precious age of only 2.

Nelsons Journey are a local charity that support bereaved children, at the time of my little boy passing away my little sister was 12 and my little brother was 11.. no one should have to go through what any of us did but for them at their age they coped brilliantly but not without the support of Nelson's Journey- providing counselling, youth clubs and a residential.
