I'm sure you'll be as shocked as I am that I have signed up to the BUPA Great Edinburgh Run on Sunday 3rd May 2009!!

This will be my first ever event and I must admit I am very excited but extremely nervous... In a bid to ensure I actually go through with it and not just lie in bed watching T4, I will be running on behalf of Alzheimer Scotland. I'm sure you'll agree that this is a fantastic charity to support and I would be delighted if you will help support them too by sponsoring me.

I'm embarking on my training regime tonight (1 April 2009, yes I know, leaving it to the last minute as usual..) but I have my secret weapon, my Personal Trainier aka Scotty the Hotty, to crack the whip and force me up hills and along straits...

And, sadly, this is not an April Fools joke, although I'm sure by May I'll wish it was!!!
