I am just about to write a sentence I never thought I would be writing. I am going to jump from a plane. I will be  attached to a qualified person and a working parachute, she says, hopefully. The reason I am doing this is to try and raise some much needed funds for the charity I am Chairman of. Wycombe Youth Action. I am constantly badgering our staff to come up with ideas for fund raising and realised that I should probably do something myself, go figure! Our team work tirelessly with the young people in our district helping and supporting them to become proud adults in the future and adults that we can all be proud of. We work with some desperately unhappy young people, young people that are totally isolated, some make it through some don’t. Our organisation is run purely on successful bids and as we all know our services are running on empty. Our main income comes from our Local and County Council, the Thames Valley Police, Our local Schools and the Home Office, all of these organisations are cutting back but our young people still need help. We specialise in anti grooming, prevent, empower and we run special mentoring services, we have recently been awarded money to work on the governments knife crime prevention initiative. Money might be tight but the need for continuing what we do is there more than ever. We would like to raise funds to help us subsidise the sums we are given and go a little bit further in supporting young people, than we are able to currently. Please help if you can, a little can go a long way.
