It is thanks to people just like you that we are able to make things better for our patients, their families and the staff who treat them. Your donation will help us to provide important equipment, new facilities, pioneering research and all the important extras that make our care so special.

Story

Last year my mum was diagnosed with cancer and as a family we were all left totally devastated. Two operations later, she is now in remission. However, she has been left with extensive lymph oedema in her right leg, which she will have to manage for the rest of her life.

She attends the UHNS lymph oedema clinic to receive treatment and has the opportunity to take home a special machine to help relieve the symptoms for 2 weeks. Unfortunatly, the department does not have enough machines and is only available for patients once every 3-4 months!

I am hoping to raise at least £2,000 to buy another machine for the clinic. This should allow patients to take home a machine more often to manage their oedema, thus improving mobility and quality of life...
