I am the Nursery Manager of a Private Day Nursery in Wakefield city centre and I am writing to request a donation of a Raffle or Tombola prize to support our fundraising event for Barnardo’s Charity.

What Barnardo’s do: ‘Barnardo’s transforms the lives of the most vulnerable children across the UK through the work of our services, campaigning and research expertise.We believe we can bring out the very best in every child whether the issue is child poverty, sexual exploitation, disability or domestic violence.’ (www.barnardos.org.uk)

We currently work with Barnardo’s to support young parents in getting education by providing childcare places on a temporary basis for up to 14 weeks at a time so they can attend parenting classes or other educational work. We feel that Barnardo’s is a recognised and much needed charity, therefore we would like to support them by doing some fundraising.
