Trek Sahara The Hospice of St Francis · 10 November 2018 to 17 November 2018 ·

The Hospice helps people to live their precious lives well. Our care has many forms – at home, in our outpatient Spring Centre or through specialised care in one of our Hospice beds - and is defined by each person's need. We rely on donations to raise the £5m we need each year to fund our free care.

Story

Hi all

I am taking part in a challenge to trek in the Sahara to raise funds for hospice of st Francis. It will definitely be a challenge, I am in my late fifties, and am of a certain age where 40 degree heat will feel like 50 degrees !  Can you imagine how many hot flushes.  I am fair skinned so will be wrapped up like an eskimo!  (Oh no more hot flushes) I may combust 🔥

Now the serious bit, my family as like a lot of families has had relatives and friends that have passed away because of cancer.  I have lost my grandfather, my mother and my sister has survived cancer.  Hospice of St Francis provides patients and families support and help when it is most needed.  To do this they need financial support, please give a donation to my just giving page it doesn’t have to be a lot, pennies make pounds.  You could give up a couple of coffees during your week and donate the money to my just giving page.

Please check in to see how I am doing.

A very big thank you to all who donate
