Joshua's Snowdon Climb for all the children with Nystagmus · 27 August 2014

Nystagmus means involuntary movements of the eye. It impairs vision, affecting focus and depth perception. At least 1 in 1,000 babies are born with nystagmus. There is currently no cure. The Nystagmus Network is a UK registered charity which provides support, raises awareness and funds research.

Story

Joshua was born with a sight condition called Nystagmus this means he is registered as sight impaired and his vision will always be impaired. Glasses cannot help and his vision will mean he will not be able to do some things that we take for granted such as driving a car. He is an absolute credit to us and NEVER lets his vision impairment stand in his way. He has always spoken about when mummy and daddy climbed Snowdon with friends and family to help raise money into research for his condition and was so excited to give the challenge a go. He was close to giving up this climb at the half way point but his determination to maybe raise money for "other children like him" as we did 4 years ago powered him through after 8 long hours he was back down. I haven't ever seen him as proud as he was that day, such and achievement for a 7 year old! It would mean the world to him if he could raise money for the charity close to all our hearts. Please show Joshua your support if you can.

Well done Joshua we are all so proud of you!

Many thanks

Jen, Ash. Josh and Amelia
