I have now completed the triathlon and really enjoyed the event and looking forward to the next one.  As I have managed to raise over £150  for CLAPA, Garry and myself are making a joint contribution to Northern Cleft Foundation of £100.  Callum's surgeon volunteers for the Foundation which performs  operations in India.  It is a small charity.

My son Callum was born last year with a cleft lip and palate and we have received a lot of support from CLAPA over this last year.  They also provide ongoing support to children and young people as they grow up.  He had his operation to repair his cleft lip in December 09 and his palate in May 10. 

Garry has said that if I raise £50, he will match this amount and donate to Northern Cleft Foundation, which is a small charity that does cleft lip and palate operations in India.  The surgeon who operated on Callum volunteers with this charity.
