Story
In April 2027, I will be taking part in the London Marathon in support of Make‑A‑Wish UK. The race is set for my 40th birthday and I can't think of a better way to celebrate. That being said it was important to me that my miles mean a bit more.
For more than 134,000 children across the UK, everyday life is shaped by hospital visits, treatments and uncertainty rather than the simple experiences most children take for granted.
Make‑A‑Wish UK exists to give these children something positive to hold on to. By granting carefully chosen wishes, the charity helps create moments of excitement, strength and happiness at a time when families need it most. These experiences can offer children a break from illness and give families memories they will carry with them long into the future.
Running the 2027 TCS London Marathon is my way of supporting this work and helping to raise funds so more wishes can be granted. Any support you are able to give will contribute directly to creating these special moments for children and families across the UK.
