Run to the Beat 2011 · 25 September 2011 ·

Friendship Works improves the wellbeing and life chances of children who face multiple disadvantages. We recruit and train adult volunteer mentors who support children for a minimum of two years. Our mentors take children out three times a month to give them opportunities and positive experiences.

Story

To run 13.1 or not to run 13.1!? Albeit it a bit hesitant, we decided YES to running, and running for a charity might provide us with extra inspiration.

On the 25th of September,we will be running in the Nike Run to the Beat Half Marathon – a glorious 13.1 miles through London, .

Together, Cameron and I are supporting FriendshipWorks, the oldest children’s mentoring charity in the UK. We recognise how fortunate we are to be surrounded by such amazing mentors and guides, shoulders and ears, whom we can also call family and friends. We know that not everybody can be so lucky to claim this!
