Animal Defenders International works to prevent animal cruelty, our work including the rescue and care of neglected animals. Our latest rescue mission, Operation Spirit of Freedom, took place in Peru. We assisted the authorities with enforcement of a wild animal circus ban as well as wildlife trafficking, saving more than 100 animals. Endangered bears, six different species of monkeys and other native animals were rehomed in Peru, while 33 30 lions were also airlifted to sanctuary in South Africa.
