Some of you will know that I have been involved with St Wilfred's for a couple of years and I am continually impressed with their good work. In my view St Wilfred's help those that are lost in life, who may have been mistreated and lack self esteem and the skills to help them get back on track. These people are not picked up through the NHS system and seem to slip through the net. Many have mental health problems, drug and alocohol addictions and few people around to support them. St Wilfred's give these people a friendly face, a hot meal and help them develop skills to cope with life and hopefully find the means to take care of themselves again. We all have tough times and bad luck and it is nice to know there are such organisations around to help us pick ourselves up and rebuild.

In aid of St Wilfred's I am with my sister and some friends going to climb Snowden. Again those who know me know I am no olympic athlete and so whilst this is no Kilimanjaro, it is indeed a challenge for me!
