Story
On 1st of January I decided 2023 is the year I am going to challenge myself.
So, on the 9th September i will be running a 100k (62 miles) ultra marathon In aid of Papyrus prevention of young Suicide, in the hope I can a make a difference in removing the stigma around mental health.
PAPYRUS is the national Charity for the Prevention of Young Suicide. Suicide is the biggest killer of young people under the age of 35 in the UK, in 2018 over 1800 young people took their own lives. PAPYRUS provides confidential support and advice to young people struggling with thoughts of suicide, and anyone worried about a young person through their helpline, HOPELINEUK. Every £5 raised can help pay for a life-saving contact to HOPELINEUK. Your donations really are lifesaving.
As mentioned I want to challenge myself, so when signing I opted to run the 100k in 1 day and not over 2 days. Through out the training and on the day I will experience some mental barriers and physical pain. However I know this will all be short term, but with the support and donations big or small this will be at be at least one persons long term gain 🤞
Thank you in advance for taking the time to read, share this link and support, it is hugely appreciated ❤️
