Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

2019 arrived and we were all happy and positive, with the arrival of my beautiful baby girl Matilda in December. I was on top of the world. My mum was in remission and my father had his major heart surgery and was recovering well, it was time to move forward and get on with living our best lives. However, pretty much 2 years to the day in January, my mother was given the devastating news that her cancer had returned in the same place and required surgery.

The operation took place in March and she is still in recovery but she is an inspiration and a fighter. Both of my parents are.

I decided early on this year that 2019 was the year, I took better care of myself for Matilda and be the best I could be mentally and physically. I have since joined a gym (and actually use it) with my husband, attend weekly PT sessions and play netball twice a week. After several weeks and the baby weight disappearing, feeling so strong in myself and full of energy, I decided I needed something else to focus my mind on and to challenge me. I’m not a runner, so having watched a friend compete last year in the boxing, I decided why not. Let’s do it.

Please donate as much or as little as you can...

This is for you Mummy... Thank you for fighting and thank you for everything you do for your family and everyone else.

To keep me motivated I am going to keep a track and provide updates on my fitness efforts (completely out of my comfort zone) and the training which officially starts in 21st of October.

Thank you for your time and support - I really do appreciate it!
