Story
There are two main reasons for us running this 10K.
1) To raise money for Age UK Wigan. This Charity is important to us as we have elderly grandparents in the Wigan area one has fairly advanced Alzheimars. The services they offer to the area are therefore important to our immediate family and we want to support them in supporting the older people of our local area.
2) The two of us have recently participated in Wigan Council's "Lose Weight, Feel Great". After years of being "unable to do sport" and even at school being in the last few to finish cross country we suddenly can. At our own pace- but we CAN DO IT!! So we thought, lets challenge ourselves.
As well as the challenge element - it also served as an impetus not to give up after lose weight feel great finished.
