We all recognise that less privileged people are very often presented with a lack of opportunities in the Arts, and Paul and I want to do our bit to help redress the inequalities within this industry. We'd like to help to maximise the chances of a place in the Arts for all talented and hardworking people out there so they can fulfil their potential, irrespective of their background, who they know or the colour of their skin.

We're going to be walking 1,000,000 steps over the summer to raise money for Arts Emergency. We'll start on 1st July and are aiming to complete the challenge by 31st August, so that's an average of just over 16,000 steps a day. Your support and encouragement will no doubt give us the 'go faster stripes' that we'll need!

Arts Emergency is an award-winning mentoring charity and network. Their mission is to help marginalised young people overcome barriers to participation and success in higher education and the creative and cultural industries.
