Thames Path Challenge 2018 · 8 September 2018 to 9 September 2018 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

I have decided to take on my first ever physical challenge of walking 31 miles along the Thames Path, in one day. I've never done anything like this before, have never trained for anything, or challenged myself. I can't even last the distance with dry January, so this will be a real achievement for me!

I am doing this walk with the loving thoughts and memories of my Uncle Len who has played a pivotal part in my childhood and who has been a lifelong friend to my Mum and Dad. For my Aunty Betty, Alison and Tracey xx

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
