Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On the weekend of the 9th/10th September I will be running up the 42 floors of the "Cheesegrater" (Leadenhall Building) in London and then abseiling 200m down the outside back to street level to raise money for Dementia UK.
Dementia has touched my life both personally and professionally. It is a cruel illness that takes away the person that you love slowly and also has an enormous effect on family and friends of that person. With the help of an Admiral nurse the journey can be made a little easier.
Admiral Nurses fulfil a specific and unique role in the dementia pathway. They help families manage complex needs, considering the person living with dementia and the people around them. They work alongside and can advise other professionals who provide bespoke guidance and generic information and advice to families.
