Lindsey Lodge Hospice offers specialist care for people in the North Lincolnshire area living with life-limiting conditions such as cancer or multiple sclerosis. Patients and their loved ones benefit from the care that we provide free of charge because of generous people like you. Thank you.

Story

My beautiful mum died on October 13th 2018, the day before I was due to run Yorkshire Marathon for the Nottingham children’s hospital charity. Running had helped me with some of the difficult times throughout her illness, and continues to help me now. My mum spent some of her final weeks, and her last days in Lindsey Lodge hospice with her family by her side. Through the care of the staff there, as well as Macmillan, my mum was able to have control and choice over what happened to her during her final weeks, and eventually her death, as she certainly did not choose cancer. For me and my family this has been absolutely heartbreaking, but we took comfort from seeing her comfortable and cared for so well, with respect and dignity. Maybe my London marathon ballot place was fate, so I’ve decided to raise money for Lindsey Lodge hospice. So many local people will have their lives, and the lives of loved ones touched by this hospice, and whilst I have my health and the ability to get out there and run, I will. Please support this charity if you are able to and thank you so much for your support xx
