Having rather foolishly signed up to run a half marathon for Clymping Dog Sanctuary, where I volunteer, I soon realised after a few weeks' training that I had made a mistake. Not ideal for my hardened hips!  So. What to do instead?

I hit on the idea of this challenge seeing as the beach is at the bottom of my road. That's the easy part. The aim is to swim every day - as long as weather and waves permit - from Monday 18th January until Sunday April 25th, the day of the half marathon.

Any donation will be much appreciated, however small. Dog rescues have and will have to in the future, take care of many dogs no longer required  or impossible to keep when circumstances change to a new sort of 'normal'.
