Update 16.09.2013

Well we did it!!! All five completed the race (without walking!) in a range of times from 1hr 58 to 2hr 18 so all made a very respectable showing. We are all so thrilled with the number of people who have donated to the CVI, everyone has been so generous, so a massive thank you from all of us to those who have already donated and to those who do in the next few days. It has made the pain all worth it!

Lucy and I spent many hours running in Palmer Park together at Reading University where we met and became close friends, and in memory of her, myself and some of my hens wanted to raise money for the CVI as part of my hen party.

We're doing this in memory of Lucy as she would have been at this party too were she still with us. Her treatment from the CVI seemed to give her a few more months of real quality life, and it was lovely to see the old Lucy back for her last summer. So, if you could sponser us, even if it's only a small amount, it would be absolutely fantastic as this charity is doing such great work and hopefully will save many lives in the future.
