Jenny's Mountain Challenge

Jenny's Mountain Challenge · 28 June 2018
I had planned to climb Blencathra (the 5th highest mountain in the Lakes) when I was suddenly diagnosed with brain cancer in November 2016.
I have receive excellent care from the neurology and oncology departments at Hull Royal Infirmary and am grateful that some 18 months later I feel able to attempt to climb this mountain- all be it slowly!, under the guidance of my good friend Alison True.
A huge amount more research is needed into brain cancer which seems to becoming more prevalent and I am anxious to raise some funds to support this research in gratitude of the care I've received.
I would like to invite you to help me raise some money either by joining us for the walk - on Thursday 28th June 2018 and donate £10 (please pm me if interested!) or to donate through this Just Giving page.
My whole family is supporting me in this. My mother is holding regular coffee mornings for Cancer Research and Brain Tumour Research and my two sons are doing the Great North Run for Brain Tumour Research and Macmillan Nurses all under the umbrella of Jennys' Mountain Challenge.
Thanks for reading and for any support you can give!
