Story
Jenny, Ben and Emma will be walking 20kms for Doctors for Nepal to raise much needed funds to bring healthcare to remote parts of Nepal. It has been two years since a devastating earthquake shook Nepal and there’s STILL much work to be done.
On Saturday 13th May we will be joining a Doctors for Nepal team of more than 20 people, from children to pensioners, to take part in this year's JustWalk fundraising hike through the South Downs in West Sussex. People in rural Nepal often have to walk for days through mountains to reach even basic healthcare, so walking is a very appropriate way of raising funds to help train more doctors and nurses.
THANK YOU FOR DONATING - did you know it costs over £30,000 to train a doctor in Nepal? DFN now has 3 trained doctors, six medical students and three nursing students, all dedicated to returning to their villages to bring healthcare to those most in need. By walking the walk and through your generous donations we will be helping to secure healthcare in the remotest parts of the most beautiful country.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
