Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I believe in embracing a new decade and a new challenge, that's why I've chosen to cycle from London to Paris to raise money for Naomi House, a children's hospice, and to push myself to keep fit and healthy for another decade yet! I've put more details on Naomi House and Jacksplace below so you can see how funds raised will help children and their families. As some of you will know I celebrated my 40th birthday by running the New York marathon, and raised funds then for local kids with special needs. 10 years on and my legs don't run so well, hence the bicycle to get me to Paris!
We cycle 280 miles over 4 days, the real pressure is on day 1 when we have to reach Dover in time to catch the ferry to Calais, so it's 80 miles in a tight timescale! We end in Paris at the Eiffel Tower, which I'm sure will be a welcome sight after 4 days in the saddle!
I really appreciate your support.
Thanks Jenny

Naomi House and Jacksplace are hospices that provide support to children and young people with conditions that mean they are unlikely to live to become adults. The charity provides care to families and young adults living in communities across the seven counties of Berkshire, Dorset, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Surrey, West Sussex and Wiltshire. The support given by Naomi House is unique in the central south. It delivers a range of services to help to relieve families from the day to day pressures of looking after a child or young person with a life limiting condition.
It costs around £7million a year to run the two units. The charity receives around 10% of its funding from the Department of Health.
£5 could provide art materials for life-limited children and young people to create treasured memories during their short break at Naomi House
£25 could fund our music room for a day, so that children and young people, regardless of their ability, can enjoy the pleasure of creating and experiencing music
£50 could run our sensory room for a day, enabling children and young people from across our region to enjoy having their senses stimulated
£100 could fund one day in our end of life suite, where a child or young person can stay after they die and where their family can be close by until the funeral
Bigger gifts could do even more
