Story

Hi

I’m Jenny. I’m taking part in the Great North Run this year for the first time and I’m so proud to be running for such an amazing local charity.

Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland provides high quality care and support for adults who have palliative and end of life care needs, as well as supporting their families and carers.

The hospice relies on the kindness and generosity of our local community and needs to raise more than 80% of its running costs to ensure this vital help is available and remains free of charge.

I’ve ran half marathons before but this one will be my biggest challenge yet as it will be my first since having my little girl Charlotte. It’s safe to say getting back into running has been harder than I thought and I can only run about 5 miles at the minute so I still have a long way to go - well another 8.1 miles!!! Your donations will help spur me on and get the training under my belt ready to take on the challenge in September.

Any donations would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you so much

Jen x
