Jenny Meyer is raising money for NHS Charities Together
Story
From 1st April to 31st May, I will be doing a minimum of 10k steps a day for NHS charities and this is why.
After contracting Covid in March 2020 and being blue lighted into hospital I want to thanks the NHS staff for being so amazing at a very scary time not just for me but for those workers in all the hospitals.
I was so scared not knowing if you were ever going to see your family again and the darkest days of being in hospital, still the nurses found time to sit with me hold my hand trying to comfort my tears. They told me they were my family for now and would look after me. They did a brilliant job and after 10 long days and nights I got home. I was one of the lucky ones I saw many that didn’t whilst in hospital.
I still suffer with long covid and sometimes have some horrible days but I’m here.
So a massive thank you to the staff of QE Woolwich you were amazing and I hope my little bit will help towards the NHS charities. Thank you to all those who sponsor me. Jenny x
