GH Challenge 2018- Climb Snowdon · 21 July 2018 ·

Genetic haemochromatosis (GH) can affect as many as 1 in 10 people in regions of the UK with an estimated 1.2million people at risk of serious ill health. We carry out pioneering research, increase public awareness, provide education to GPs & nurses and support families

Story

About a year ago I was diagnosed with Genetic Haemochromatosis, a condition where your body is unable to remove excess dietary iron.

This came as a shock, and the Haemochromatosis Society have given me great advice about how to manage this condition.

As a thank you my family have accepted their annual challenge to embark on a 1 day trek from Llanberis to the top of Snowdon, hopefully raising a bit of money in the process.
