The Millie Wrights Childrens Charity exists to address inequalities in charitable support for children with life threatening non cancerous conditions. Specifically, the charity provides practical, emotional and financial help to parents, carers and their wider families. The charity recognises the strain and uncertainty arising from having a seriously ill child and is a big advocate of wellbeing and mental health with advanced plans to employ two Family Support Workers (funded by the charity on NHS contracts) during 2023. We are a truly hands-on charity - our current initiatives address basic needs like giving parents access to food, drinks whilst on the wards so that they don't have to leave their child's bedside. The Saturday Suppers initiative is extremely popular. The charity also arranges toiletries, birthday boxes, hardship payments, laundry, referrals to other charities and signposting to other forms of help. They are creating change and making a difference
