Thank you for joining us for the @jersey.runclub Virtual Santa Hat Run 2020! 

For the last three years, @jersey.runclub has donned tinsel, Santa suits and all sorts of festive hats for a run from town to St Aubins as part of our big Christmas social event. Whilst we have had to cancel this event for 2020 due to Covid-19 restrictions, we still want to find a way to celebrate. 

In the spirit of our team motto (#runforeachother), we have asked our runners to donate their usual ticket price to the Shelter Trust Jersey and complete their own Santa Hat Run virtually.

Want to get involved? That's great!

Anyone wishing to take part must: (i) make a donation to this page (@jersey.runclub members are asked to donate a minimum of £10 each); and then (ii) complete a 5k run* between 1st and 28th December whilst wearing some manner of Christmas-themed headgear! 

* walking, cycling, swimming around or about that distance is fine too!

If you have kids who would like to take part but 5k is still something of a tall order, please feel free to adjust the distance and the donation for them accordingly.

For existing members of @jersey.runclub only, there are prizes available for those who submit a photo of themselves taking part to our Instagram account, Strava page or email account. Team members should include at least their first name on the donation so we know who has taken part.

In signing up to the @jersey.runclub Virtual Santa Hat Run (the Event), you: (i) confirm that you are physically well enough to participate in the Event; (ii) acknowledge that there are risks associated with participation in running events and you participate in the Event at your own risk; (iii) will abide with all applicable Jersey Covid-19 restrictions when taking part in the Event; and (iv) hereby waive, release and forever discharge @jersey.runclub and its members from liabilities associated with your participating in the Event.
