Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In June 2017 one of my twins (Ethan) had major heart surgery at Great Ormond Street Hospital. He was 6 months old and had been in and out of hospital since he was born. He has a twin, Rose, who does not have congenital heart disease, but they had both been born prematurely. In those first few months we were very often separated, which was extremely difficult. Many hospitals do not have the capacity to allow parents or sibblings to stay overnight. However, The Sick Children's Trust enabled us all to stay together whilst Ethan had his heart surgery and whilst he recovered in hospital. It meant that Rose could be near her twin brother and we could remain close to Ethan and give him comfort. They made an extremely difficult time that little bit easier and I will always be thankful for the kindness they showed us.
So I am doing this 100 km challenge. From London to Brighton, non-stop. Those that know my recent level of fitness will know this is very much a challenge! So if you can, please do donate. The Sick Children's Trust is a small and little known charity that does life-enhancing work.
