Story
I am running the London marathon again in memory of my dad who lost his battle with leukaemia 23 years ago,
I am delighted to be running for the charity Anthony Nolan who’s work saves the lives of people suffering with a blood cancer such as Leukaemia, Lymphoma and Myeloma or a blood disorder.
The charity’s work matches individuals who are willing to donate their stem cells to people who desperately need a lifesaving transplant, which gives people the privilege of saving someone’s life. They also fund groundbreaking research that will improve patient outcomes.
I hope to raise as much money as possible to help the charity fund the growing list of potential donors and I also hope to raise awareness and encourage people to join the stem cell register by performing a simple swab test.
Although my dad sadly lost his battle when I was very young he is still my role model and the one who inspires me to not only raise money but also awareness of the wonderful work the charity does. I love and miss my dad every day ❤️
Thank you for taking time to read my page and thanks in advance for any donations xxx
