Story

This May I have decided to run 200 miles for Mind. Mind has been instrumental in changing my life-the work they do and the support on offer really does save lives.

I have struggled with poor mental health for most of my life. My 20's has been a rotation of GP appointments and medication in order to try and loosen the grip of depression.

Running has become an outlet for my anxiety and a way to cope when things get tough. I am by no means the fastest or most experienced runner but it has become my very own paradise of positivity.

I enrolled onto a programme with York Mind last year and I have been receiving weekly phone calls from the wonderful Pam (My mentor, coach, motivator and biggest supporter.) Speaking with Pam really has changed everything. Pam didnt save my life, instead we worked together to create one that I wanted to be part of.

I cant run enough miles to express how thankful I am but hopefully 200 is a decent start.
