Story

After many years of supporting others to do the London Marathon for other worthy charities, I have bagged myself a ballot place and will be running on Sunday 2 October 2022!

Because I have my own place and because it’s my first ever marathon, I have decided to raise money for a charity that is really close to my heart: The Fragile X Society.

You may know that my cousin Cameron has Fragile X syndrome, which is the most common inherited cause of learning disability.

Fragile X Syndrome is a genetic condition, affecting around 1 in 4,000 males and 1 in 6,000 females. It can cause a wide range of difficulties with learning, as well as social, language, attentional, emotional and behavioural problems. Because Fragile X is a genetic condition, it also impacts me and my other family members as we are carriers.

I want to fundraise for the Fragile X Society because they are a small but vital charity doing a great job providing information and advice to families in the UK living with Fragile X. I want to help them to support even more families like mine.

Thank you so much for your donation 🥰
